Wow!!! Where did the summer go? I have been super busy and having many wonderful adventures. I have been up to Lake of The Woods again, this time with Walleye Amy. We caught many sturgeon but unfortunately none in the 45-50 inch slot requirement. Amy and I will try it again next year. We did manage to hammer to the walleyes in Zipple Bay!!!!
I am getting excited about all of the upcoming events. I am going to the Minnesota Darkhouse Angling Assn. 25th Anniversary celebration on the 17th. I cant wait to re-connect with all my friends, carvers, vendors, and meet new friends. Rumor has it that my webmaster is just about done with my website e-commerce page. Ken Dahl spearfishing prints will be available for sale soon.
I have already been to my first MN Vikings game last week. Thank you LeeAnn for the awesome tickets!!! I also have a trip planned to celebrate Fish Decoy’s (Jane Litchy) birthday on the 24th.
I am going to Mexico in April for a friends wedding. Cant wait to ocean fish and trying underwater spearfishing. And AS ALWAYS… I am planning to go up to Rainy River again and try for those awesome northern pike. I hope to get up there 7 or 8 weekends again from Dec-March. I also am going to try my luck at the White Fish open this winter. I carved my first decoy with Gary Hull’s excellent teaching and support. So watch out boys I am eligible to enter. I also have three decoys 1/2 way completed that I will finish hopefully the weekend of 9/24. Don’t forget to go to www.nfda.tv and mark your calendar with all of the events.
