Jessie View ResortGood evening!  Northern Girl’s love to be spontaneous… and I was definitely spontaneous today!!!  We were all set to go to Superior, Wisconsin for the long weekend, planning to spend an awesome weekend on the harbor and go to all of the festivities in Duluth.  I made a call to a resort in Northern Minnesota and left a message that if anything became available I would rent it.

Rita from Jessie View Resort and RV Campground called and said they had one cabin left.  The resort is on Jessie Lake.  It is famous for walleyes, northern and panfish.  You would not believe the wonderful deal I got for my daughter and I!  We will arrive Friday and be there through the 4th of July.  For $80.00 a night we will have a cute cabin with a kitchen and a bbq and fire pit outside.  I also have a nice boat for my exclusive use.  (motor rental $40)  They will drop off a load of wood for my campfire for $5.  The resort has a beautiful shallow beach area that gently slopes without any drop-offs.  Perfect for my 3 year old grandson.  I can fish off the dock or take the boat out!

Take a peek and I will post all of my photos Tuesday.

Think about our beautiful country this weekend and how lucky we are to live here in freedom.  Regardless of how ridiculous some of our leaders are, we still live in the greatest country in the world.  Don’t get me started on politics…. and don’t talk to me about politics, unless you do your civic duty and pay attention to what policies our government has been changing.  (Remember fox will kill unattended sheep.)  I have seen many freedoms be taken away from law abiding citizens and many freedoms given to criminals, illegal immigrants and welfare deadbeats that refuse to work for a living.

Dont get me wrong… I am generous and give much of my money to people in need that just need a helping hand.  I am speaking about the folks that are able to work and choose not to.  I do not want to hear one word about how tough the job market is.  In the 80’s flipping burgers at McDonalds was not beneath anyone… As a matter of fact, the kids from my “hood” called it a great opportunity.

I grew up in the eighties with double digit unemployment and interest rates to purchase a home in the high teens.  If you didn’t have a down payment… you didn’t get a house.  If your credit card (1 card) was maxed out, they laughed at you and said maybe in 10 years you may be able to get a loan.  Sooooo  quit whining and quit being a bunch of cry babies. ….grow up and quit feeling sorry for yourself.  If you don’t like this country, you can always go live somewhere else.

I plan to enjoy my weekend at the cabin and bbq, fish, sleep in, roast marshmallows, countand thank God for my family and my wonderful blessings, and think about my next step for Northern Girl….

My tasks after my mini-getaway will be to decide what company to use to make my t-shirts, preparing my company organizational documents, and trying to figure out new and interesting ways to keep you coming back for more!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Happy 4th of July!  Please be safe this weekend, drive careful and keep an eye on the little ones near the water!  Live Life & Love Life!!!
