I am counting the minutes until I get to go to Baudette to meet LeeAnn and Gary for a weekend of spearfishing.  It is so depressing that the spearfish season is so short.  I hate to tell you that the season ends the last weekend in February.

It has been a great fishing season. I am pleased with my trips to Baudette and it was really fun to see 2 hybrid muskies and a 12+ pound rainbow trout in Lake “X”.  It was really fun to argue with the old timer that didn’t believe “his lake” had tiger muskies and hybrids.  I may be a woman… and I may be blonde… I know my fish…. and I know what I saw.  You will see them too if you spend enough hours in your shack.

I am trying to decide if I am going to “Lake X” to spear and angle for trout or compete in an ice tournament in Monticello.  It is a blessing to have choices in life!!!

Today it is very cold in Minneapolis with even colder weather coming in tomorrow.  We have a beautiful full moon and I hope by next week the fish will be feeding again.  If you have had any luck send your bragging photos!!!

Have a great weekend and live life… love life!
